COLOMBO, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- The Independence Day parade rehearsal is held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Jan. 28 as the country will celebrate the 75th anniversary of independence with pride and dignity on Feb. 4.
The National Day, or the Independence Day, is a Sri Lankan national holiday celebrated annually to commemorate the country's political independence. It is celebrated all over the country through a flag-hoisting ceremony, dances, parades and performances.
