BEIJING, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- Here are the latest Chinese sports headlines from the past week:
1. China's Wu Yibing lifts history-making ATP Tour trophy

Wu Yibing became the first Chinese mainland player to lift an ATP Tour trophy after winning the Dallas Open title on Sunday.
The 23-year-old endured 44 aces from host player John Isner and saved four championship points to achieve a history-making 6-7 (4), 7-6 (3), 7-6 (12) victory in the final.
Wu had already reached the milestone on Saturday by becoming the first Chinese mainland player to enter an ATP Tour final in the Open Era with his first Top 10 victory.
2. China bags 3 medals at ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Cup

China pocketed a gold, a silver and a bronze at the 2022-2023 ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Cup in Dordrecht, the Netherlands on Sunday.
China's Lin Xiaojun clocked 40.693 seconds to win the men's 500m, which was his second victory in this category after being crowned at the Dresden leg. South Korean Lim Yong Jin and Lukasz Kuczynski of Poland took second and third respectively.
The Chinese team of Lin Xiaojun, Zhong Yuchen and Song Jiahua came behind South Korea in the men's 5,000m relay final to settle for silver, and Japan finished third.
In the women's 3,000m relay, China (Gong Li, Xu Aili, Wang Xinran and Zang Yize) took the bronze. Canada and Hungary finished first and second place respectively.
3. Chinese volleyball player Zhang Jingyin hopes for success in Poland

Chinese outside hitter Zhang Jingyin says he has high hopes for success in Poland.
"I hope that I could achieve a lot of success in Poland. I'm really happy to be here," Zhang said at Monday's press conference when he was officially presented as a new Trefl Gdansk player.
The 23-year-old will be a player of Trefl Gdansk until the end of the Plus Liga season. Zhang, who won a bronze medal in the Chinese league with Zhejiang, was officially introduced to the team on Monday.
4. CBA imposes one-year transfer ban on Xinjiang for rule violations

Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) announced a one-year transfer freeze on the Xinjiang Flying Tigers for breach of rules.
In a statement released on Friday, the CBA Disciplinary and Ethics Commission said that the Xinjiang club violated the CBA regulations for registration, which led to a one-year ban on signing new players.
This means that except for Xinjiang players whose registrations have gone effective for the 2022-23 season, the club cannot register any new Chinese player for one year, including pre-registered players, nor can the club trade any Chinese players during the period.
Sources from the CBA said that the latest punishment means the Xinjiang club has lost its exclusive right to keep Zhou Qi, who can now sign with any other CBA club.
5. China's Han re-signs with WNBA side Liberty

WNBA's New York Liberty announced on Friday that Chinese women's basketball center Han Xu has accepted her qualifying offer and re-signed with the team.
"Liberty center Han Xu has accepted her qualifying offer and re-signed with New York. Welcome back, Han!" the Liberty wrote on Twitter.
Drafted by New York with the overall 14th pick in 2019, Han averaged 3.0 points and 0.8 rebounds in 18 appearances in her rookie season.■
