HAIKOU, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- Job fairs in Haikou, capital of south China's Hainan Province, have witnessed heightened enthusiasm for recruiting.
As the country's economy rebounds following its optimized COVID-19 response, the island province which is rich in tourism resources is also making a quick recovery.
Authorities have set a GDP growth target of 9.5 percent for 2023 for Hainan, which China plans to build into a globally influential and high-level free trade port (FTP) by the middle of the century.
Since mid-December last year, Hainan authorities have launched seven major job fairs offering more than 30,000 job positions. More than 4,300 people have signed deals.
The province aims to recruit 800,000 more talents in the next five years, including a target of 150,000 this year.
