Newly promoted Chinese Super League side Qingdao Hainiu signs midfielder Ma Xiangyu.
BEIJING, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- Midfielder Ma Xingyu has completed his transfer from Henan Songshan Longmen to newly promoted Chinese Super League side Qingdao Hainiu, the Qingdao club announced on Wednesday.
The 33-year-old made 18 appearances for the Henan side in 2022 and contributed one goal on top of six assists. Henan Songshan Longmen finished sixth in the Chinese Super League last season.
"My five-year spell at Henan comes to an end this evening," he wrote on social media on Wednesday.
The Qingdao club, which gained promotion to the Chinese Super League last season, also on Wednesday unveiled its head coach Antonio Gomez and his Chinese coaching staff headed by former Chinese international Su Maozhen.
