LANZHOU, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Twenty-seven-year-old Iranian student Rezaali Pakzad has been living and studying in China's Gansu Province for five years.
He is now pursuing a doctoral degree in desertification control at Lanzhou University after obtaining a master's degree at the same university.
Rezaali says his home country faces severe environmental problems such as desertification and China is experienced in desertification prevention and control.
He hopes to bring back the technologies and ideas he has learned in China to contribute to the global effort in desertification prevention and control.
