The Emba Hunutlu power plant, a China-financed thermal power plant in south Türkiye's Adana Province, has been supplying electricity steadily following devastating earthquakes that struck the region last week.
Facing a severe power shortage from the massive earthquakes, the Emba Hunutlu power plant, which is located around 110 km away from the epicenter, has sustained electricity supply for around 4 million people in the quake-affected areas.
The 1,320-MW project has a capacity of generating 9 billion kilowatt-hours of power annually upon full operation.
It's the country's first stackless power plant and represents China's largest-ever direct investment in Türkiye.
