ALEPPO, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- An estimated 5.3 million people in Syria may have been left homeless by the earthquake that struck earlier this week, a UN official said on Friday.
Xinhua's Hummam Sheikh Ali visited a temporary shelter in Aleppo, one of the worst-hit cities in Syria. Survivors recalled the earthquake horrors, and asked for help to rebuild their homes.
